Thinking of the word ‘whiteout’, the first thing that strikes my mind is the beautiful AULI. It’s been months since I visited there but I can guarantee you, it is a worth visiting place for everyone especially “mountain lovers”.
Auli is in Chamoli District in the Himalayan mountains of Uttrakhand. It is a magical place that is beyond anyone’s imagination. It is located 2800 meters above sea level, and that’s quite high, right?
The best time to visit there is from June to October.
Auli is one of the Himalayan sky resorts. It is surrounded by coniferous and oak forests which adds more beauty to this place. Being occupied by snow everywhere it is known as “charmestic snow land”. This place is perfect for photoshoots and the best part is nature itself gives amazing filters here to capture the moments :).
From July to October, the valley gets filled with the highest number of flower species with 520 high-altitude plants and 498 flowering plants. Visuals of Auli are incomplete without visiting Nanda Devi and Nar Burma Mountains. Must visit place.
There are various activities to do there. The most attractive and awaited activity of the tour is Skiing. The slopes are planned for the professionals as well as the new bee like me ;). So, no worries, you can enjoy the ride.
The most adventurous and fun feeling part of the tour is the great Ropeway from Joshimath to Auli, especially for people having “aerophobia”. The view from the ropeway is eye-catching. The ride will take 25-30 mins.
Sophy!! The most romantic phase of the valley was the bonfires at night outside, under the open dark sky. The view was proof and made me think that “darkness can also be positive if your heart does believe in that”.
So, mark my words. If you are a couple, in a group or single this place is best for you. Singles will find great companions there , couples will enjoy the soft snowfall with a cup of coffee and well when there is a group of friends or family everything is fun 🙂
